Description
An alkynyl derivative of choline that has a propargyl group in place of one methyl group; can be used to assay phospholipid synthesis and localization in cells and tissues using Raman scattering microscopy or click chemistry labeling with fluorescent or affinity-tagged azides; inhibits growth of P. aeruginosa on dimethylglycine (IC50 = 5.16 μM), choline, and glycine betaine
