Description
A cardiac glycoside with anticancer activity; increases viability and proliferation of CMECs at 2-50 µM; improves left ventricular structure and function in a rat model of chronic heart failure; inhibits cell proliferation in nine lung cancer cell lines (IC50s = 0.12-53 µM); induces apoptosis in SGC-7901 and MGC-803 gastric cancer cells and activates the ERK1/2-EGR1 pathway; reduces tumor growth in an HCC mouse xenograft model at 5 and 20 mg/kg; inhibits tumor growth in an A549 lung cancer mouse xenograft model at 50 and 100 µg
