Description
An amide alkaloid; cytotoxic to HL-60 and MCF-7 cancer cells (IC50s = 13 and 1.8 µg/ml, respectively); inhibits HMGB1-induced TNF-α, IL-1α, and IL-1β production and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in HUVECs at 10 and 20 µM; prolongs survival time in a HMGB1-induced mouse model of sepsis at 9 µg/animal
