An inhibitor of PCSK9 translation; inhibits translation of mRNA encoding PCSK9 by isolated human ribosomes at 100 µM; inhibits PCSK9 secretion by Huh7 cells (IC50 = 0.3 µM); decreases plasma levels of Pcsk9, total cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol in rats at 50 mg/kg
