Description
An inflammasome inhibitor; inhibits ATP-, nigericin-, monosodium urate crystal-, flagellin- or dsDNA-induced increases in IL-1β production in LPS-primed primary mouse BMDMs at 100 µM; scavenges DPPH radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 52.5 µM); inhibits LPS-induced NO production in primary rat microglial cells; inhibits LPS-induced increases in IL-1β production in peritoneal lavage fluid in mice at 10 mg/kg
