An inhibitor of Hsp70 (65% inhibition at 200 µM) that acts by blocking its ATPase activity; induces apoptosis in cancer cells (IC50 = 5-7 µM); prevents the growth of A549, RKO, and HeLa cell xenografts in mice without significant loss of body weight
