Description
Our Anti-Kv1.3 K+ channel mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone L23/27. It is KO validated, detects human, mouse, and rat Kv1.3 K+ channel, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC, IP, WB. - Kv1.3 K+ channel (also known KCNA3) is a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, shaker-related subfamily. This protein, encoded by the KCNA3 gene in human, is an efficient channel blocker. Kv1.3 K+ channel includes a shaker-type repeat in the fourth segment of a six membrane-spanning domains. Kv1.3 K+ channel plays a role in the repolarization of nerve cells after an action potential. It is also widely expressed on T and B lymphocytes'membranes (including inner mitochondrial membrane) and has an important function in T-cell activation, especially in the regulation of chronically activated effector memory T-cell immune responses (Chiang et al., 2017). It has been demonstrated that effector memory T-cells highly expressing Kv1.3 K+ channel are predominantely present in patient with Musltiple Sclerosis lesion and children with type-1 diabetes mellitus (Beeton et al., 2006). -
