A PDI inhibitor; inhibits PDI reductase activity in an enzyme assay from 1-100 µg/ml; reduces HTTQ103-induced PC12 cell apoptosis; suppresses PDI-dependent MOMP in isolated PC12 mitochondria; reduces HTTN90Q73 mutant huntingtin-induced medium spinal neuron death and MOMP in rat corticostriatal slices at 2, 3, 4, and 10 µM; reduces APP-induced pyramidal neuron death in rat corticostriatal slices
