A microtubule disruptor; induces the disassembly of pig brain and Physarum microtubules in cell-free assays (IC50s = 0.3 and 0.5 µM, respectively); inhibits proliferation of (IC50 = 5 µM), as well as induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and apoptosis in, PC3 cells
